In addition to being delicious, this drink helps boost your immune system and fight Inflammation. It is similar to a health elixir in a cup.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water or non-dairy milk
  • 2 inches fresh turmeric root peeled and grated
  • 1 inch fresh ginger root peeled and grated
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup Or to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Pinch of ground black pepper Optional

Instructions
 

  • Add the water or non-dairy milk, grated turmeric, and Ginger to a small saucepan.
  • Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 10 minutes so that the flavors combine.
  • Remove the pot from the heat and either honey or maple to personal sweetness.
  • Use lemon juice (if using) and a grinding of black pepper to taste.
  • Using a fine-mesh sieve, MORE INFO will be used to remove any of the Ginger or turmeric pulp.
  • Enjoy the turmeric and Ginger drink warm or on ice. However, you prefer.
